Miss Friday's Fab Fridays: What I Loved This Week #1

Friday, 15 March 2013
It's still freezing in England, but I am determined not to let the weather ruin my 'Spring' frame of mind! Spring is the season of new beginnings and starting afresh, and so many good things have been happening since the beginning of March. Here are my highlights from the past week!

Snapshot 1 Hot chocolates with whipped cream and  marshmallows.. my ultimate comfort drink. There are some pluses to the cold weather, after all! Snapshot 2 Ombre hair - I edited these photos a little so it's not extremely noticeable in the picture, but I'm really pleased with how mine's looking recently! (P.S I'm going to be writing an ombre hair care post soon - keep posted!) Snapshot 3 Delicious pre-mothers day meal at Brewers Fayre pub - beef lasagna with chips and garlic bread, yum! (I skipped the salad - I'm definitely no health freak!) Snapshot 4 Gorgeous new sunnies I got from Primark for £2.50!! They have lovely purple-tinted lenses, a soft rubbery feel, and little skulls on the sides - so cute! I am so ready for summer with these Snapshot 5 Recently purchased book on Cognitive Behaviour Therapy - I'm learning about it at the moment in my psychology class, and it's super interesting. I'm ready to change my life with this book - and banish irrational thoughts for good! Snapshot 6 Aren't these just the prettiest flowers? I got these for my mum on Mothers Day, and I've fallen in love with them myself! We have them in our kitchen and it's amazing how much seeing them everyday can brighten your mood. ♥ Getting an A on my first psychology exam - it's definitely improved my confidence and motivated me to keep trying hard! ♥ This top from Coal & Terry Vintage - rather daring but I kinda love it!!  This last ever blog post from a mother battling with cancer - she lost the fight, but what she wrote is so inspiring and moving. It will open your eyes! The name of this post 'Miss Friday's Fab Fridays' - too cringeworthy?! Or do you like it? You can probably tell I was struggling in coming up with an name for this haha!!
And finally, this quote...

"She could never go back and make some of the details pretty. All she could do was move forward and make the whole beautiful." - Terri St. Cloud

What made you smile this week?

I hope you all have an amazing weekend - I'll be scheduling posts for Monday!
