Today I'm Wearing... Graphic Tee's and High-Tops!

Friday, 15 March 2013

Good afternoon everyone!

How's your Friday going? Mine's been great - I've spent the majority of the day relaxing in my house, sat on my comfy bed, ticking things off my to-do list. It's been one of those lovely lazy days!

Before I describe the outfit in today's post, let me just say that really, this outfit is one I wore last week.. so whether that counts as cheating or not, I'm not sure!I took the pictures and had been planning this for a blog post for a while, and I'm only just getting round to it now, but today hasn't exactly been 'stylish', hence no pics. (I've just thrown on a baggy knit jumper, with clashing leopard print leggings, stripey socks, no make-up and natural hair - I'm rocking the 'tramp' look, haha!)

So now we've cleared that up, let's talk about my outfit!

I wore this as a simple, casual outfit for last Friday, and I think there is no easier way to look good in day-wear than to rock a pair of cute shorts with a graphic tee and high-top trainers!
I absolutely love this t-shirt, and I bought it from my current fave fashion site, AX Paris. The tee is available in white and black, but I definitely preferred the black. And, of course, I love the giant lips design - so edgy and simplistic but makes a huge statement!

T-shirt is also very cosy, and a lovely snug, nice-fitting material!
For my 'shorts', these were actually full-length jeans before I cut them up! I've had them years and they were just sitting in my wardrobe, never really worn a lot, so I decided to go all D.I.Y and turn them into shorts - and I think they look pretty good! It was so easy to do as well - I'm no textiles expert (in school I could barely sew) so if I can do it, anyone can. There's tons of tutorials floating through YouTube on how to do this, and to make them look a bit more grungy I simply pulled the pockets out from underneath and pulled the bits of thread on the ends for a nice frayed look!

My leggings were bought from Primark recently, and although they call them leggings, they really just feel like footless tights.. they'e comfy of course, but you can't wear them without bottoms (unless you want your knickers displayed!)

Giant Lips Tee  £13.99 AX Paris
Denim Shorts (Previously jeans from BHS!)
Leggings  £3.00 Primark
High-Top Stud Trainers (with concealed wedge, oooo) £18.00 Matalan - They're only available in white online though, for some reason!

For my jewellery, I'm wearing a striking pink/gold, chunky (sort of studded?) bracelet I got in the Xmas sales from Next! I love the bright, almost neon colour - it's certainly eye-catching and goes quite nicely with my the colour of my lips t-shirt :-)

And lastly, I'm wearing my gorgeous silver diamond ring (obviously not real silver or diamond, but close enough!). If you haven't noticed by now, I love big rings - especially sparkly ones, and the more they resemble diamonds, the better! They're perfect for adding a bit of glamour to your outfit, and I can wear this with pretty much anything.

Pink/Gold Bracelet (can't remember the price, sorry!) Next
Silver Sparkly Ring (also have no idea where this was from as it was a gift!)

What do you think of this outfit? Do you love graphic tee's as much as me?

Let me know your thoughts in the comments!
