Miss Friday's Fab Fridays: What I Loved This Week #4

Happy Friday everyone! How's your week been? You may have noticed that there hasn't been a lot of new content on my blog this week - that's because I've generally been quite busy with family outings, friend outings, Easter, trying to get college work and revision done etc. Been a long past couple of days!

To be honest, I've been feeling a bit guilty about the lack of new posts on here, but I'm hopeful you guys will understand. I think I've kinda needed a week's break anyway - sometimes it's a struggle to get new content out everyday and come up with new, great ideas, but I feel like my head's been cleared and I'm positive next week I'll get back into my blogging routine. Besides, I have actually really needed to get my work done, instead of leaving it to the last week of the holidays, and I'm sure we can all agree that blogging is a huge distraction sometimes!

Anyway, my Easter went great, I've definitely put on a few pounds from all the chocolate I've consumed but I think it was well worth it, and I've had a pretty good week overall. Here are my highlights!

Snapshot 1 My outfit for Easter Sunday - I wanted to wear something really girly and cute for Spring, and I got this lovely dress for my birthday from H&M. I paired the dress with these lacey heels I got a couple of years ago from Next - I hadn't worn them for ages but I'm so glad I brought them back out from under the bed again!  Snapshot 2 Easter eggs!! I consumed that whole box in pretty much one sitting, but I still have a lot of other chocolate left over - thank god!  Snapshot 3 Amazing chocolate fudge cake dessert with cream I had after a pub meal. It was likely way too many calories but my god it was perfect.  Snapshot 4 On bank holiday Monday I went shopping in Liverpool with some friends - we went for a Starbucks, I bought a few things, and I admired many shoes I couldn't have!  Snapshot 5 & 6 On Tuesday, I decided to finally take the leap from normal ombre to 'blonde ombre'. To be honest, it looked a lot blonder before I had rinsed it out (as you can see in the picture) but it's definitely lighter and I'm still happy with it. My friend dyed this for me, and she also gave me a much needed trim and side fringe (thank you!!)  Snapshot 7 These beautiful pink/gold platform heels from New Look - I spotted these in Liverpool when they were £30.00, and I obviously couldn't buy them since I'm trying to save money. However, the next day, I discovered a 20 percent discount I could use online  - so I ordered them and got them £6 cheaper!! Plus, I can actually walk in these a lot easier than normal heels - always a bonus  Snapshot 8 Since my hair's now a lot shorter, I needed some new extensions, and ones that actually matched my new hair colour. I went into the market and got the closest match I could find, and although they're nice, they're a bit too thin compared to my natural hair. I can't complain with the price though - £5.99!  Snapshot 8 I also got this lovely dress while in Liverpool from H&M - and it was in the sale for £7! I love it, and yet again, I can't resist a nice bit of leopard print.
My two articles on Typespace - Drowning Out The Noises Of Other's Opinions and Making The Choice To Improve Your Self-Esteem: The 90/10 Self-Love Principle - I thought I would get creative in a personal way with my blog posts this week, and I was happy to see they received good feedback! In case you're wondering, the first blog post is a lot to do with the weekly inspiration picture I have at the top of this post - this week I've learnt a lot about myself regarding self-love, self-esteem, and not letting other people's opinions or actions affect me - you can read all about it on the links. I also prefer the layout of this blogging platform to write posts like these as it's nice and simple - hopefully there'll be more to come in the near future!

So that's how my Easter hols are going so far - I'm nearly done with all my work too, so hopefully I can dedicate next week to just enjoying my time off. And blogging, of course! I'm also going for a night out tomorrow at least, which I'm really looking forward to. It's been too long! Here's a track to get you in the mood for the weekend - Coldplay - Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall. I've just discovered this song but it's amazing!

Have a good one everyone!
