My Dress Addiction: Dress #4 The Leopard Maxi!

Tuesday, 2 July 2013

This post is part of an ongoing series of my addiction to dresses and insight into my endless collection. Read the first post here.

Good evening Stylicias! Today's latest revelation from my unhealthily high number of dresses is this classic summer beauty - the leopard maxi! Summer is the time, of course, to bring back out our maxi dresses from deep inside our wardrobes, and they are probably one of my favourite items to lounge around the sun in for this season.  And this one is, in fact, a fairly recent buy, as I purchased it right after finishing my last exam. It was a day I intended to celebrate and treat myself, so I thought, well what better way to do it than splurge on a nice new outfit for myself - am I right?

However, this was a dress I felt slightly pressured into buying! In Liverpool they have lots of these wonderful little shops spread around, not necessarily well-known high street ones, but nice local ones with gorgeous clothes in - sometimes expensive, sometimes affordable. I went into this particular one which I now forget the name of, and whilst I was just having a look around, the foreign lady working there was consistent on not letting me leave there without paying for something!

I reluctantly tried this dress on in the changing rooms just to make her happy, but I have to admit, once I threw it on, I fell in love. As we all MUST know by now, I have a huge weakness for leopard print, and with the cut-out sides in the middle, it was perfect. So I forked out the £20 for it!

My Dress Rating:

I love this dress - I envision wearing it while walking around the barbecue on holiday, or dipping my toes in the pool! Can be worn casually or dressed up with heels :-) the only downside is that it's a bit too long for me with flats on (I have to keep holding it up!)

What do you guys think of this dress? Hope you liked the post :-).

Have a lovelyyyy day!

  2. That is such a gorgeous dress!! I love the cutouts on the side/back.
AHhhhhhh that's why it's so hard to go in those little boutiques...they start making you feel bad...and then you HAVE to buy something.

At least the dress you picked out is so versatile!

    1. Hi Kelly!

Aww thank you, me too, the cutouts are probably my favourite bit :)
Hahaha yes!! Every time I go in one of those little boutique shops I get instantly harassed, and they stare at you the whole time you're looking.. so off-putting!

But I agree, I love things you can wear more than once for different occasions :-)

Thanks so much for stopping by and commenting!

  8. I really hate sales clerks like that, but at least it's not something you regret! I feel like this is such a daring piece even though you look fantastic!

    1. Hi Isa!

Oh, tell me about - they are the worst! Even if I see something I like, it puts me off if they're constantly hassling me haha! But that's true :-) thank god eh!

It is pretty daring but I do love a risk ;) thanks hun!
