Halloween Outfit & Make-up | WONDER WOMAN

Sunday, 3 November 2013

Hello stylicias! How all you doing? It's been a while!

I know I'm a little late with the Halloween post, but after going out Thursday night and going out again last night for a family member's 21st, it was tricky finding the time to get a new post out! (No pun intended - trick or treat? Ha ha ha? No, okay)

Anyhoo, as you can see, I decided to go out for a night on the town dressed as the one and only Wonder Woman! After being an angel last year, I fancied having a proper costume and going as a much-loved comic book character. I will be something scary next year, I promise!

Despite this outfit being a little too short (it's hard to avoid the slutty Halloween costumes unless you come up with your own) I did love it. It's a one-piece dress and originally had suspender strings attached to it, but since I didn't really fancy wearing thigh-high socks in this freezing weather, attempted to hide the suspenders by tucking them into some tight, red disco pant-style shorts (and putting red tights on underneath, obviously)! The silver armbands, gold headband, and cape all came with it, and I have to say I'm pretty glad I had the cape to keep me warm while trudging about Southport's 'nightlife'.

Now, I've been naughty here and used iPhone pics, so I know it's a bit difficult to see exactly what I did with my eye make-up, but I can assure you it was good! I wanted to try and use both red and blue shades of eyeshadow, and surprisingly, it worked! I also used a gold glitter eye pencil to add a nice bit of shimmer to my eyes, and of course finished with some kohl eyeliner and huge false lashes. For my hair, I decided the bigger the better, and after curling with my straighteners (then brushing through the curls to get a more wavy look) I backcombed my roots, covered with hairspray, and finished with the headband to hold the volume up even more. Oh, and a stunning red lip to top it all off!

Make-up I used:

  • Bourjois Paris eyeshadow pot in 02 (slightly turquoise, blue colour)
  • Maybelline Colour Tattoo by Eyestudio in 20-Turquoise Forever (as eyeliner)
  • Soap&Glory Smoulder & Kohl
  • Rimmel London red eyeshadow palette
  • Naked 2
  • Eyelure eyelashes 205
  • Barry M Gold Glitter Eye Crayon
  • Barry M Lipstick in Shade Pillarbox Red
  • Rimmel London Clear Lipgloss

Costume Ebay | Blue Glitter Wedges Ebay | Tights Forever 21 | Ring Primark

What did you dress up as for Halloween? Do you celebrate it?

Hope you all have a lovely Sunday :-)
