AUGUST FAVOURITES

Tuesday, 9 August 2016

Hi  friends!

I had the idea of starting a new series on my blog today - let's call it, 'Monthly Favourites'. Every month I'm going to try my very best to upload a post showing off a few items that I've either purchased that month (I can't save money for shite, we all know this!) or revisiting things I already have and still adore.

I hope you all enjoy reading them as much as I've enjoyed making the first - I suppose this will encourage me to keep my blog updated with fresh content! Let's get cracking.

1. EVE SLINKY CROSS FRONT MIDI BODYCON DRESS, £15, Boohoo.com

I bought this dress to wear on a night out this Saturday as I'm really into the mauve colour right now. It's a little tricky to find a suitable bra given the front detailing but some boob tape should do the trick! BooHoo usually always have a cheap next day delivery offer on too so it's worth having a look through their sale.

2. KELLY BROOK NAIL POLISH IN GUINEA GOLD

I received this polish as part of a gift set a couple of years ago so not sure of the price, where it's from, or if it's even been discontinued but it's kept very well intact! The shade of gold is gorgeous and metallic and I'm so glad I found it again.

3. SPORTS BRA, £8, GEORGE AT ASDA

I love love love the tie-dye design of this sports bra and it's such good value! It's not quite as padded as I would like but I figured I'd treat myself after not buying any proper fitness clothing for a good while.

4. EOS LIP BALM POMEGRANATE & RASPBERRY, £6.50, BOOTS

I've wanted an eos lip balm for absolutely ages and I splurged on one earlier this month. I went for this sweet pomegranate and raspberry flavour which tastes amazing, and makes my lips feel gloriously soft! The smooth, circular applicator wins it a place on my August Favourites list.

5. SPARKLE 16 PIECE CUTLERY SET, £5.99, B&M

I didn't expect to be leaving the shops yesterday with a brand new cutlery set in hand but I just couldn't walk away without this one. I seem to have a thing for glitter and gold lately and I'm sure they'll look amazing in my new student house come September. Cheap as chips too!

6. MINI YANKEE CANDLE SUGARED APPLE, £1.80

My  brother nabbed this for me from Oxfam for only 49p, and the scent is delicious. I'm yet to go all out and buy one of those big Yankee candle jars, but the little samplers will do for now.

7. BASEBALL CAP, £15, RIVER ISLAND

I'd never normally spend so much on just a hat but I've wanted so badly to be a part of this trend! They only had one left in the store when I went to visit and I actually ended up going back for it the day after. Something about the matte black texture reeled me in and it's become a staple piece for my head!

I hope you guys enjoyed the first edition of my Monthly Favourites series: let me know if there's any products you think I should try out that could make it onto next month's list. Have a great week! xo
