Good evening - and happy new year!

I've finally emerged from my pit (bedroom) that became a breeding ground for bacteria whilst I was sick with the flu over the holidays. It's been a nasty past week, to put it lightly - I fell ill on Christmas Eve (imagine!) and let's just say I am still not feeling 100% myself almost two weeks later. Ok, maybe going out on New Years Eve and drinking extortionate amounts of alcohol did my body no favours at all, but I've powered through and just about made it through to the other side.

And in case you're wondering, I haven't bothered making any New Years Resolutions this year. I'm trying to treat it as an extension of 2018, aka, no big deal, but it's difficult to avoid at least some introspection after the end of another year.

I plan on writing up a finale 'December/2018' reflection soon, but for now, this post may just help with those with a specific New Year's Resolution a lot of us can only dream of - to have clearer skin!

Way back in November, I was sent the Beauti Skincare Beauty Sleep Elixir Oil - and I'd been meaning to write my own review on it since. But you know, life gets in the way - and I wanted to give it a fair test-run first!

This inflammaging oil claims to be the ingredient your skin needs to 'get the perfect glow', and it definitely peaked my interest. I've had problematic skin for the majority of my adolescence well into my adulthood, and finding a product that not only doesn't irritate my skin, but also improves its appearance, has definitely proved a challenge - so, of course, I was sceptical!

However, I was quite pleasantly surprised with how good this oil felt on my skin. It didn't cause any unwanted reactions - quite common for me given how sensitive my face is! - and I noticed my skin looking brighter, particularly when I applied the oil prior to wearing make-up.

The oil is packed with antioxidants and anti-inflammatory ingredients to 'protect, renew, and give skin next level glow' and it definitely didn't disappoint. It has all natural ingredients too - no chemicals and vegan-friendly - selected from a blend of 14 plant-based oils including a Carribbean coral extract, chia seed oil, lavender herb oil, capric trglyceride from coconut and more!

The oil can be worn under make-up for a soft, dewy base, on its own, or overnight whilst you're sleeping to replenish and renew the skin. For the most part, I've been applying the oil before I go to bed. I wake up with soft, healthy-looking skin, and I'll use a few drops before applying my foundation to get a smooth make-up application.

Overall, I'm really impressed with the Sleep Elixir and it's become quite the staple piece in my skincare routine. Whilst my skin still suffers from acne and is in no way suddenly perfect, I'd definitely recommend this to others with dry, problematic skin like mine.

If you fancy trying the Beauty Sleep Elixir for yourself, you can get your hands on one right here.

See you soon - may your 2019 be filled with happiness and clearer skin! x
